Minas Gerais has the most modern fair, exhibition and event center in the country, in a 72-thousand-square-meter built area. The project is a combination of technology intelligence with functionality, incorporating solutions demanded by the international competitive market of events.
A complete infra-structure of highly sophisticated equipment and services enables Expominas to host any kind of indoor or outdoor event. It is the first Latin American exhibition and fair center directly connected to a subway station, the Gameleira Station. This provides the public with quick, safe and comfortable transportation from the city center to Expominas, in only six minutes.
The geographical position and the political and economical importance of the capital city of Minas Gerais are of great benefit to Expominas. Its privileged location improves the facilities to integrate with urban centers in the country, such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Brasília and Vitória.
The Most Modern Center in the Country
The only place in Brazil that offers acclimatization and acoustics in all the rooms, Expominas has the capacity of holding simultaneous events of different kinds and formats, due to its multi-functional characteristic. The three integrated pavilions have acoustically insulated screens in order to adapt space to the event size. Another facility is the large car park for 2,230 cars.
Expominas is the largest center in Minas Gerais and the third in size in Brazil, after Anhembi (São Paulo) and Riocentro (Rio de Janeiro).
Modern and functional, the architectonic project of Expominas was planned by architect Gustavo Penna. The State Government invested approximately R$150 million in this project, aiming at transforming Minas Gerais into the great catalyst center of business tourism and events in the country. Expominas is of great importance to the economical development of Belo Horizonte and the State as a whole.
Location
Expominas Belo Horizonte is 10 minutes far from the city center by car. There are three main roads: Anel Rodoviário (a ring road) - to airports -, Avenida Amazonas (Amazon Avenue) and Via Expressa (Express Way). Another differential is that Expominas is the only fair and exhibition center in Brazil with a subway system. It is connected with Gameleira Station through a bypass.
